KENYA MUSIC WEEK 2005 to Promote Live Band Music

The upcoming 2 nd Annual KENYA MUSIC WEEK 2005 promises to be entertaining for the whole family with Showcase Performances at 11am , 1pm and 4pm every day from Thursday 8 th to Sunday 11 th December at the Sarit Centre Expo Hall in Nairobi.

And this year there will be a live music Showcase Stage , to accommodate those artists who perform with full bands, constructed at the rear of the Trade Exhibition Hall in a new Sarit Centre extension where sound can be better managed.

The sound, backline, stage and lighting for the Showcase Stage will be generously provided by Xtreme Media Solutions , with their Festival Mundial experienced sound engineer Rajput at the controls.

Time on the Showcase Stage is a promotional opportunity open to those participating in the Trade Exhibition . Artists who have already confirmed their performance include (in alphabetical order): Abbi , Cheche , Didge , Eric Wainaina , Esther Kalunde , Freestyle Lunatiks Dancers , Jomenes , Kanji , Kingsting & Bedbug , Kyvo , Mbuvi , Mellow Dee , Neema , R-Kay , Sarakasi Dancers , Stranger , TruBlak International Reggae , Ukoo Flani Mau Mau and Votaries .

KENYA MUSIC WEEK is timed to coincide with Jamhuri Day celebrations ”, says Director – Richard Ekhalie . “ So we invite all Kenyans to come enjoy their music. And entry is absolutely free .
