NAIROBI: It’s just three (3) weeks to the 5th Annual KENYA MUSIC WEEK and
there’s a scramble for the remaining Exhibition Stands.
Being held for four (4) days from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th December at
the Sarit Centre Expo Hall in Nairobi, KENYA MUSIC WEEK 2008 will see
heavy-weights from Kenya’s music industry under one roof for a Trade
Exhibition, Educational Workshops and Showcase Performances.
“Like every year, KENYA MUSIC WEEK is timed to coincide with Christmas
Shopping and Jamhuri Day celebrations”, says Director – Richard Ekhalie. “We have a total of eighty (80) Trade Exhibition Stands; of which over
fifty percent (50%) have already been sold, with expressions of interest
received for the others. Serious industry players should not miss this
unique opportunity to interact with twenty thousand (20,000) of their fans
and customers.”
An initiative of Kenya Music Week Limited, this year KENYA MUSIC WEEK has
offered its platform to promote the ‘Msitukatisie Ngoma!’ (‘Please Don’t
Stop the Music’) awareness campaign from the Music Copyright Society of
Kenya (MCSK) and Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP).
Kenya Music Week Limited is a company of PHAT! Music & Entertainment
Limited and Triple P Kenya Publicists established in 2004 to develop the
Kenya Music Industry into a professional, transparent and profitable
business via the focused co-operation of all industry stakeholders (i.e.
musicians, producers, promoters, distributors, consumers, government and
NGOs).
